Home Depot Dumpster Rental vs a Local Hauler

What we found on Home Depot's website

On October 12, 2026 we searched homedepot.com for "dumpster rental". It returned 444 results. The first result was the WM Bagster Dumpster in a Bag at $29.95. The first page showed bags, trash cans, bins and liners. We did not see a roll off dumpster rental in them.

Stores can offer things the website search does not show. Ask your local store before you rule it out. WasteBox Inc. has no relationship with Home Depot, and this page only reports what we read on that date.

The Bagster bag

The bag is 3 cubic yards and you buy pickup separately. Home Depot's listing says collection service is not available in all markets. In ZIP code 60439, Bagster's lookup showed $230.00 for the first bag (checked October 12, 2026). Full numbers are on our Bagster bag vs dumpster page.

Dump trailer rental

Home Depot Rental lists dump trailers. We read the 6' x 10' listing. It says "Maximum load capacity: 4500 lbs" in the highlights and lists 3,500 lb under load weight capacity in the specs, so ask the store which is right. It lists 108 cubic feet of cargo bed, which is about 4 cubic yards. It says the trailer weighs 2,500 lbs empty and needs a 2 5/16 inch hitch. It also says "Subject to availability" and shows no price on the page.

You tow it, load it and take the load to a disposal site yourself. That is the main difference from a box we drop at your house.

A local hauler

We are WasteBox Inc. in Lemont. We bring the box on our own trucks, you fill it, and we haul it away. Rental is one flat rate for a full week, with a three day grace period on top. Sizes run from 6 to 30 yards, and the 6 yard is the only box for concrete, brick and dirt.

the office is extremely helpful talking through exactly how many yards you need based on your project! Amy Buss, Google review.

The person I spoke with on the phone was courteous and helpful at explaining prices. Tony M, Google review.
