How much does a dumpster rental cost?
We quote every job on the phone, because the price depends on the size, the town and what you are throwing away. How the price is built: one flat rate however long you keep it, a week plus a three day grace period, ten days maximum, and the same rate whether you fill it the first afternoon or keep it the full ten days. Weight is included up to the container's limit, 3 tons in the 12 yard, 4 tons in the 16 and 20, 5 tons in the 30. The 6 yard is rated to be filled level full, which is what makes it the container for concrete, brick and dirt. Mattresses are $25 each. Tell us the town, what is going in it, roughly how big the job is and the date you need it, and you will have a number on that call.
What locations do you service?
WasteBox services most of the Chicagoland area including parts of Will County, DuPage County, and Southwest Cook County. Please call to confirm we serve your town because there are some areas within these counties that we do NOT service.
What do you allow in your dumpsters?
We allow all types of material from construction debris such as wood, flooring, carpet and dry wall to household debris like furniture, toys, clothes, appliances, and electronics. We also accept mattresses for an additional fee of $25.
What size waste boxes do you supply?
We offer a variety of dumpster sizes including the following: 6 yard, 10 yard, 12 yard, 16 yard, 20 yard, 30 yard. Let our team know about your next project and we can suggest a dumpster that is the right size for your waste removal needs. No matter the scope of your project, we have a waste box that can accommodate it.
What material is not allowed in your dumpsters?
We do not accept any hazardous, flammable or liquid materials including oil, gasoline or paint (unless hardened). We do not take tires or household food waste.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Our dumpsters are rented for a week at a time. If needed longer, we offer a grace period of 3 days (10 days maximum) with no extra charge. After that, the dumpster will have to be picked up or switched out for the cost of another container. The rate of the rental is the same whether you have it for a single day or all 10.
Do you take concrete, brick, or dirt material?
We allow concrete, dirt and brick our 6-yard container. However, this is the ONLY dumpster we rent for those materials. It is NOT allowed in any size larger than the 6-yard option due to weight issues.
Can I put a dumpster in my driveway?
Yes, and it is the usual place one goes. On your own driveway you almost never need permission from anyone. Tell us where you want it when you call and we will tell you what we normally run into at that address.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
Our drivers place containers carefully and will set one down on boards if boards are provided and left where you want them used. The trucks do not carry wood for deliveries, so if you want your driveway protected, put the boards out before we arrive and tell us on the call.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster?
On your own driveway, almost never. On the street or the parkway it is your village's decision and usually means a right-of-way permit before the container arrives, charged by the village rather than by us. Check with the village directly, and tell us where you want it placed so we can tell you what we normally see there.
What happens if I go over the weight limit?
We tell you. Every container has an included tonnage, and if a load comes in over it the office calls and settles it with you rather than letting it turn up as a surprise later.
How far in advance should I book a dumpster?
A day's notice genuinely helps us put your drop into a sensible run. Call anyway if it is urgent: we would rather tell you yes or no on the phone than have you waiting on a form.
What size dumpster do I need for a roof tear-off?
Roofing tear-off is dense for its volume, so the weight limit is what binds rather than the space. Tell us the rough square footage and how many layers are coming off and we will size it against the tonnage.
