What size dumpster do I need for a water damage tear-out?
Water-damaged drywall, carpet, flooring and insulation are heavy for their volume, so a restoration load is a tonnage question first: 3 tons in the 12 yard, 4 tons in the 16 and 20. Most tear-outs after a flood or a fire land on the 12 to 20 yard, and a whole-floor job is two containers or a switch-out. Dry, this is a volume job. Wet, the same material is a weight job, which is how a crew sizing by the pile ends up over the limit. Tell us how much is wet and we size against 4 tons in the 16 and 20, with a second box if it needs one.
Free liquids cannot go in. Nothing is pumped or poured into the container.

Wastebox is the absolute best. They show up on time and pick up right away. Our driver Art was the best driver ever. He took a look at our driveway because of the slope and went above and beyond to make sure it was safe to drop the dumpster with the pitch of the driveway. I've been using Wastebox for a few years. I love these folks. When I call for an order, the ladies pick up and arrange for delivery very timely and are so polite and easy to work with. The drivers have all been great. Ken has especially been helpful since he was the guy that connected me to WasteBox in the beginning. I ordered a 16 yd box. The driver was very careful in placing the box in a difficult location and avoided damaging anything. They were also prompt in pickup and left no trace in the area. I did go over my load by one ton. Beth notified me and was able to settle tge account promptly.
Don’t hesitate to use them. Great pricing and reliable. David went above and beyond and dropped off our box in the middle of a tornado when we were hunkering down in the basement. He was soaking wet, but still delivered it as promised. Very pleased 😀!

My driver Art, was great! I asked him if it would be possible to drop my dumpster in a narrow spot with not much clearance. He told me "I can do it with my eyes closed, but for safety reasons I'll keep them open". He actually then suggested a better spot, and that worked out great! Great driver, Great guy, knows what he's doing. Very friendly.

What size dumpster do I need for a water damage tear-out?

Can wet drywall and carpet go in the dumpster?
Yes. Drywall, carpet, flooring and insulation are accepted wet or dry. Free liquids are not, so nothing is pumped or poured into the container.
Can I get a second container or a switch-out?
Yes. Two containers on the job from the start, or a switch-out when the first fills, both at the rate for that container. Call when the box is about three quarters full.
Can fire-damaged debris go in?
Yes. Burned framing, drywall, flooring and contents go in like any other tear-out debris. Hazardous, flammable or liquid material does not.
How much does a restoration dumpster cost?
We quote every job on the phone, because the price depends on the size, the town and what you are throwing away. How the price is built: one flat rate covers a full week, with a three day grace period on top at no extra charge, and the rate is the same whether you fill the container the first afternoon or keep it the whole time. Weight is included up to the container's limit, 3 tons in the 12 yard, 4 tons in the 16 and 20, 5 tons in the 30. The 6 yard is rated to be filled level full, which is what makes it the container for concrete, brick and dirt. Mattresses are $25 each. Tell us the town, what is going in it, roughly how big the job is and the date you need it, and we will price it on that call.
