What size dumpster do I need for concrete, brick or dirt?
Concrete, brick, block, stone, asphalt and dirt go in the 6 yard and nothing larger. It measures 12 by 5 by 3 feet, fits a single driveway lane and is rated to be filled level full with heavy material. A 12 yard full of broken slab is over what the truck can legally lift, so that limit does not change at any price. Demolition debris that is not masonry goes in a 12 to 20 yard alongside. Decking and framing are bulky and light: a typical deck is the 12 yard. The footings go in a 6 yard of their own.
Interior demolition
Framing, drywall, cabinets and flooring go in the 12 to 20 yard, sized to the tonnage. Tile and ceramic carry weight like brick, so mention them.
Excavation and grading spoil
Dirt and clay are heavy for their volume and ride in the 6 yard, the same as concrete.

I've used Wastebox twice so far and have nothing but good things to say about them. The person I spoke with on the phone was courteous and helpful at explaining prices. I called around 7AM and my dumpster was delivered before noon. Their driver Jason was helpful and was able to position the dumpster in a way to preserve vehicle access to the garage while the dumpster was in the driveway. Finally, Wastebox is good with communications. They text about 30 minutes prior to arriving for drop off and pick up. Overall, a great company that I'd use again and recommend to others.
I've been using Wastebox for a few years. I love these folks. When I call for an order, the ladies pick up and arrange for delivery very timely and are so polite and easy to work with. I ordered a 16 yd box. The driver was very careful in placing the box in a difficult location and avoided damaging anything. They were also prompt in pickup and left no trace in the area. I did go over my load by one ton. Beth notified me and was able to settle tge account promptly.
Don’t hesitate to use them. Great pricing and reliable. David went above and beyond and dropped off our box in the middle of a tornado when we were hunkering down in the basement. He was soaking wet, but still delivered it as promised. Very pleased 😀!

My driver Art, was great! I asked him if it would be possible to drop my dumpster in a narrow spot with not much clearance. He told me "I can do it with my eyes closed, but for safety reasons I'll keep them open". He actually then suggested a better spot, and that worked out great! Great driver, Great guy, knows what he's doing. Very friendly.

Can I put concrete in a dumpster?
Why can I not put concrete in a bigger dumpster?
It is an axle weight limit rather than a rule we set. A larger container filled with concrete exceeds what the truck can legally lift and carry, so it does not change at any price.
Can dirt and concrete go in the same dumpster?
Yes. Dirt, clay, sod, concrete, brick and asphalt all go in the 6 yard together, filled level full.
Do you take asphalt and brick?
Yes, in the 6 yard, on the same basis as concrete. Tell us the material on the call so the right container is loaded.
What size dumpster do I need for a deck removal?
Usually the 12 yard. Decking and framing are bulky but light, so the 3 ton limit covers a typical deck. If the footings come out too, the concrete goes in a 6 yard.
Do you take demolition debris?
Yes. Framing, drywall, cabinets, decking and flooring go in the 12 to 20 yard. Concrete, brick, block and dirt go in the 6 yard only. A demo with both takes two containers.
How much does a concrete dumpster cost?
We quote every job on the phone, because the price depends on the size, the town and what you are throwing away. How the price is built: one flat rate covers a full week, with a three day grace period on top at no extra charge, and the rate is the same whether you fill the container the first afternoon or keep it the whole time. Weight is included up to the container's limit, 3 tons in the 12 yard, 4 tons in the 16 and 20, 5 tons in the 30. The 6 yard is rated to be filled level full, which is what makes it the container for concrete, brick and dirt. Mattresses are $30 each. Tell us the town, what is going in it, roughly how big the job is and the date you need it, and we will price it on that call.
