Can You Put Roofing Shingles in a Dumpster?
Illinois lists roofing shingles as general construction and demolition debris that landfills accept, and WasteBox accepts them. Tell us the squares and layers when you call.
What Illinois says
Illinois EPA says landfills accept general construction and demolition debris. Its list includes roofing shingles and general roof coverings, as non-hazardous, uncontaminated material.
Pick the right dumpster for a roof job
See our roofing dumpster rental page for roofing jobs, the size calculator to size the box, and dumpster sizes for what each box holds.
WasteBox's rule
Shingles are accepted. Shingles are heavy, so tell us the squares and layers and we size the box to the weight. See our roofing dumpster page.
